Beast of the Beacons 10, 20 & 40 Mile The Beast of the Beacons on 18 April 2026 is a trail running challenge that includes a 40, 20 and 10 mile distance within the majestic Brecon Beacons National Park. The events start and finish at Llangynidr Village Hall, Crickhowell on a route that includes forests, mountains, rivers, reservoirs and mud, with outstanding views. The 40 mile is 2 laps of the 20 mile route. There are generous cut off times to encourage new trail runners to join this event; 16 hours for the 40 mile, 8 hours for the 20 mile and the 10 mile. This is a cup free event - you will need to bring a reusable cup.
