Derby Running Festival The Derby Running Festival on 24 August 2025 includes a chip timed 5km, 10km or Half Marathon around the grounds of Elvaston Castle Country Park. The flat, multi-terrain 5km course is on a mixture of trail, tarmac and footpaths, going through the castle’s grade II listed grounds, past the iconic hall and the famous Golden Gates. 5km entrants complete 1 lap, 10km run 2 laps and the Half Marathon is 4 laps plus an out and back section. 5K 10K Half Marathon
