
The Barnsley Harriers are a thriving, community-focused running club that has been inspiring locals to get active for over 25 years. Based at the welcoming Shaw Lane Sports Club, the club caters to runners of all ages and abilities, from beginners taking their first steps to seasoned competitors. Whether you re looking to get fit, make new friends, or challenge yourself, the Harriers offer a supportive and sociable environment to help you achieve your goals. The club meets twice weekly, with group runs on Mondays and Wednesdays at 6:30 pm. These sessions cover distances from 4 to 9 miles, catering to different paces and fitness levels. During the winter, the club also organizes dedicated speed and hill training to help members build strength and endurance. With a busy calendar of local, national, and international events, Harriers members can take part in races to suit their ambitions, from 5Ks to marathons. With over 120 passionate members, the Barnsley Harriers are a friendly, inclusive club that welcomes newcomers of all backgrounds.
