Cheadle Running Club: Where Camaraderie and Kilometres Collide Nestled in the heart of Staffordshire, Cheadle Running Club (Cheadle RC) is a vibrant community of runners, from seasoned veterans to budding enthusiasts. With a strong competitive spirit, we regularly participate in NSRRA (North Staffs Road Runners Association) events and cross-country competitions, while also hosting our own popular annual races - the Cheadle 4 in July and the Spring 5 in March. Whether you re looking to push your limits, train for your next big event, or simply enjoy the company of fellow running enthusiasts, Cheadle RC has something for everyone. Our club meets multiple times a week at the Worthington memorial ground, offering a range of paced groups to accommodate runners of all abilities. The Great Glen Ultra Marathon, one of Scotland's toughest running challenges, takes participants on a breathtaking journey through the historic Great Glen. Runners can choose between a 72-mile or 42-mile route, both showcasing the region's stunning natural beauty along a mix of canal towpaths, forestry trails, and country roads. This off-road/trail event is designed to be run unsupported, with marshalled checkpoints and a time limit to push participants to their limits.
