The Pendine Sands Races The Pendine Sands Races on 5 April 2026 include an Ultra, Marathon, Half Marathon, 10km and 5km distance. The course is a 10.5km out and back run along the beach. Generally the sand underfoot is quite firm and absolutely perfect for running on, especially for barefoot running. 10km runners complete 1 lap, Half Marathon runners 2 laps, Marathon runners 4 laps and Ultra entrants 5 laps. 5km competitors simply run 2.5k down the beach and then turn and run back. This is a cup-free event - bring your own cup/water bottle for refilling at aid stations during the race.
