Hastings Runners is an inclusive running club in East Sussex, founded in the 1980s. The club has approximately 500 members and welcomes runners of all ages (12 and above) and abilities, from beginner runners to more experienced competitors. The club offers a variety of training sessions throughout the week, including track, off-road, and interval sessions, catering to different fitness levels. Hastings Runners also organizes its own races, such as the Hastings 5 Mile Race, which are free for members to participate in.

Starcross Shuffle 7 Hour Challenge The Starcross Shuffle on 16 November 2025 is a 7 Hour running challenge alongside the Exe Estuary. Runners have 7 hours to run as many laps as they want to achieve their chosen distance (or go further). 1 Lap = 10km+, 2 laps = Half Marathon, 4 laps = Marathon, 5 Laps or more = Ultramarathon. The course is a 6.6 mile out-and-back picturesque route, starting at Starcross. It follows the Exe Estuary alongside the grounds of Powderham Castle and then along the Exe Estuary Trail to a turn around point at mile 3.3, back to Race HQ. You can stop anytime after just one lap. You can take a break at the end of a lap before starting another lap. When you have finished and want to stop, tell the timing team as soon as your cross the finish line.

Formed in 1983, the club has approximately 130 senior members, 40% of whom are women, as well as a junior section of around 40 members. The club is primarily focused on road running, with members competing in events from 5K to marathon distance, though some also participate in fell, trail, and track races.
