Smalley Road Runners: A Vibrant Community for Runners of All Levels Nestled in the heart of Heanor, Derbyshire, the Smalley Road Runners is a thriving running club that welcomes runners of all abilities. Founded in 2007 and affiliated with UK Athletics in 2012, the club has grown to become a hub of camaraderie and support for local runners. Whether you re an absolute beginner or an experienced runner, the Smalley Road Runners cater to every level. With dedicated leaders, co-leaders, and support runners, the club ensures that no one is left behind during group runs. Offering multiple weekly sessions on Tuesdays and Thursdays at the Heanor Conservative Club, the club provides a supportive and inclusive environment for runners to challenge themselves, improve their fitness, and make new friends. In addition to their regular training sessions, the Smalley Road Runners organise the annual Smalley 5 Bells, a 5-mile multi-terrain trail race and family-friendly festival. This event not only showcases the club s spirit but also raises funds to support its ongoing activities and initiatives.
