Uttoxeter Road Runners: Your Friendly Local Running Community Established in 1985, Uttoxeter Road Runners is a vibrant and welcoming running club based in the heart of Staffordshire. We meet regularly throughout the week at the Lidl car park in Uttoxeter, with sessions catered to different paces and fitness levels. The Great Glen Ultra Marathon, one of Scotland's toughest running challenges, takes participants on a breathtaking journey through the historic Great Glen. Runners can choose between a 72-mile or 42-mile route, both showcasing the region's stunning natural beauty along a mix of canal towpaths, forestry trails, and country roads. This off-road/trail event is designed to be run unsupported, with marshalled checkpoints and a time limit to push participants to their limits.
