Whether you re a seasoned runner or just starting out, our club caters to all abilities, from beginners to elite athletes. Discover the scenic trails, rolling hills, and bustling roads of Yorkshire as you train alongside a supportive group of runners. Our weekly sessions, held at the Leodiensian Club, offer structured workouts, hill training, and social runs to suit every fitness level. Beginners can find their pace with our dedicated starter groups, while more experienced runners can challenge themselves in our faster-paced groups. Beyond the track, we organise thrilling annual races, such as the Meanwood Valley Trail Race and Harewood Trail Race, providing opportunities to test your mettle against fellow runners. At Valley Striders, we believe running is not just about personal bests, but about building connections and embracing the great outdoors. Lace up for the legendary Leeds Half Marathon, a beloved 13.1-mile running event that has captivated the UK for decades. This scenic course winds through the vibrant city of Leeds, showcasing its renowned landmarks and providing an unforgettable challenge for runners of all abilities.
Rob Burrow Leeds Marathon The Clarion Rob Burrow Leeds Marathon is back on 10 May 2026, taking on the street of Leeds. Former Leeds Rhinos player Rob Burrow was diagnosed with motor neurone disease in December 2019. Since then, Rob and his family have campaigned tirelessly to raise awareness and funds to support other families living with MND. This event will see over 10,000 participants take on a brand new route through Leeds that and takes in some of Leedsβ most scenic countryside and outer suburbs. The event will be held in support of the Rob Burrow Centre for Motor Neurone Disease Appeal as well as the MND Association. Entrants are encouraged to raise money for a charity of their choice, or for one of our partner charities. See also the held on the same day.
